The PET scan was a breeze. Sit still for 45 minutes while the radioactive glucose gets into the cells, then lay still for another 25 minutes for the scan itself. I got a kink in my shoulder but managed not to move.
It will be interesting to see if other parts of my body are affected by the cancer. My budget is being affected, though. The tests so far cost over $12,000 and I still have the MUGA. I’m sure something will work out.
As I work on this blog, a friend suggested I interview the doctors and technicians and add their comments. A good idea. Maybe I could charge them for my time as a professional writer and we could work out some sort of barter.
