Welcome!

I’ve sent out an email with the URL to this blog today, so if you’re just joining me, welcome. I’ve kept a personal journal since Ziploc bags were invented (1970), but with the onset of this disease, I’ve decided to go public. For three reasons:

1) To keep family and friends informed without trying to guess how many “email updates” are too many.

2) To encourage others going through a similar experience. Perhaps I can dispel some of the fears associated with the “C” word by shining a little light on it.

3) To reflect on my spiritual journey, which for the past few years has been mostly in the dark.

The first post is only three weeks old, so why not start at the beginning with me? Just scroll to the bottom of the page and click “Older Posts.”

Drop by anytime to check on my ramblings, or sign up for a feed and get new postings emailed to you. Feel free to leave comments or ask questions.

Shalom

  1. Dear Mike,
Hi, Barbara Barrick from Placerita Baptist sent us the link to your blog. My husband was just diagnosed 6 months ago with cancer too. We will be looking forward to supporting you in prayer through your journey. Love, The Smith Family

  2. Thank you so much for starting this blog, Mike, and even more for sharing it with a wide circle of friends around the country (and beyond, I’m sure). Your willingness to invite each of us alongside your journey will make a difference for good in our own journeys. You are definitely in our thoughts and prayers. Please be sure to send regular e-mail updates to us with a link to your blog. This is an important new chapter of life. We want to be there with you at every turn…
