Too tired to think outside the haze or write anything coherent. Four weeks out from surgery and still losing weight and energy. Almost fainted in the grocery checkout line yesterday. A real puzzler since all my lab work has come back fine. Will see another doctor tomorrow to try to find out what’s wrong.

  1. How frustrating for sure. Praying and hoping for a breakthrough for you sooner rather than later. I’m still amazed, though, at how good your writing and thinking is even while in a “haze”. You still inspire!

  2. Dearest Mike
Sorry to hear about your post surgery issues. Folklore says that for each hour you were under the anesthesia you may have a month of “depression.” Definitions aside I have noticed a lack if appetite, weakness, and a foggy brain. You may want to consider asking for a prescription to offset the short termed depression that often accompanies the post surgery healing. Or be gentle and don’t push yourself too hard to get back to your pre surgery pace. Healing is hard work. You know as you are now a master healer and experienced recouperator! I may preaching to the choir but be careful my friend.

  3. Mike I am so sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I pray that tomorrow’s Dr. visit will provide some answers and get you back on your feet quickly. God bless you. Pat
