Cemetery and Studio

Quite the juxtaposition today. This morning I visited the grave of my first wife, who would have turned 64 today. Susan and I were married for 37 years. She was the joy of my life and our union produced some of the finest people you’ll ever meet.

In the afternoon I had a dance lesson at the studio with my second wife. Cindy and I met here at Best of Ballroom. We celebrated our wedding here in 2014 and we’ve had some great experiences in this place since then. Cindy makes it fun and keeps me on my toes.

Two lovely ladies for two different seasons in my life. I have been blessed—and bereaved—and blessed.

We all end up in the cemetery, or sprinkled over the countryside. We don’t all get a (second) chance to dance beforehand.
